Introducing Dr. Dawn Reid, PCC

Dr. Dawn Reid, PCC - Your Personal & Professional Growth Architect

My Philosophy

I believe coaching is most powerful when it strengthens a person’s ability to think, decide, and act with clarity and courage. While AI tools can support reflection, organization, and practice, they don’t replace the human elements that drive growth: trust, presence, ethical judgment, and the ability to navigate nuance. My role as a coach and mentor is to lead the growth process—using tools intentionally while keeping the work grounded in human connection.

Hi! I’m Coach Dawn.

I’m a coach, mentor, and educator with over 20 years of experience helping coaches and leaders architect personal and professional growth. My work is grounded in behavioral science, coaching psychology, and real‑world practice—and it’s deeply human at its core.

Today, coaching exists in an AI‑influenced world. I believe technology can support growth—but meaningful change still happens through human connection, judgment, and accountability.

With the right coaching, anyone can step into their power, purpose, and potential. But my journey didn’t start in coaching—I originally planned to become a therapist. For years, I studied psychology, earned degrees, and researched how people can become the best version of themselves. However, during my PhD program, I found myself in a position that many of my clients face today—burnout and difficulty harmonizing work and family. Amidst the chaos, I came across an ad for a life coach. Skeptical but desperate for change, I booked a session that changed everything. Unlike therapy, which explores the past and clinical behavior, coaching gave me actionable strategies to move forward. I felt truly empowered, in control, and confident in my next steps for the first time—in a long time.

That experience shifted the course of my career. I refocused my PhD research on coaching psychology and never looked back. My passion for this work grew after earning my ICF coaching credentials, launching my practice, and witnessing the impact of research-backed coaching methods in helping others thrive. I expanded my expertise by training corporate teams in coaching techniques and, ultimately, founded my educational platform, Reid Ready—a certification, training, and community hub dedicated to the art and science of coaching.

This journey has shaped how I coach today: I focus on forward‑looking growth, practical action, and human partnership—especially when life and work feel complex.

My superpower lies in helping coaches and leaders architect, strategize, and execute their personal and professional goals to grow and thrive. I partner with them to minimize imposter syndrome, challenge it, improve interpersonal interactions, build communication confidence, and develop secure leadership capabilities. Additionally, I empower them to transform from buddy to boss, position themselves for their next role, set and protect their boundaries, self-prioritize, and move forward.

I work primarily with coaches and leaders who want to grow with intention—strengthening their skills, confidence, and decision‑making in a rapidly changing world. I also support individuals navigating personal or professional transitions who value human‑centered coaching and measurable progress.

My philosophy, experience, and superpowers guide my coaching and mentoring work—ensuring that insight turns into action, even in fast‑moving, AI‑supported environments.
